Work is not a result of the fall — it was part of God's original design before sin entered the world. In Genesis 2:15, God placed Adam in the Garden to dress it and keep it. Work is a gift, a calling, and a reflection of God's own creative activity.

Work Has Dignity

Every form of honest work has value in God's eyes. Colossians 3:23-24 instructs, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward."

Work Is Stewardship

The parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) teaches that God expects us to invest what He gives us faithfully.

Work Should Be Done with Excellence

Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might." Excellence reflects the character of the God we serve.

Work Is Not Ultimate

While work matters, it should not become an idol. Rest is also commanded. Our identity is found in Christ, not in productivity.

Work Provides for Others

Ephesians 4:28 says one purpose of work is having something to share with those in need. Work enables generosity.

When we see our daily work as service to God and others, even the most ordinary tasks take on extraordinary meaning.
